The way a person who gave birth either feels empowered, belittled, on a pedestal or less than based on WHERE and HOW they birth is a huge problem which roots grow into the medical paradigm & social community. Time to Forget "natural vs medicated" & "homebirth vs hospital". They can go hand in hand real quick, we are all on the same team. Preference & Circumstance are the key leading factors driving birthing peoples location of birth. The bridge is the NEW STANDARD. โขWhat is best for one person may not be best for another. โขWhat is an option for one person may not be an option for another, or a personal preference. โขANYONE can end up in an emergency situation and we should treat even the most traumatic events with empowering, competent collaborative care & equal respect. Collaboration & upleveling the quality competent care is recognizing the unique spectrum of possible circumstances, choices & individuals that walk this earth. Out of Hospital birth, Unmedicated labor and belly birth is not supposed to be a bigger risk, or up on some pedestal- It is supposed to be an autonomous option, not feared or mandatory but left to evidence based option and circumstance. Disconnection, disrespect, disparsity, lack of unified movement towards an equal opportunity for a competent medical care system is what holds everyone back from evolution and continues the cycle of negligence & incompetence leading to trauma & death. This community openly strives to end the problematic gap, not run from the problem. EVERY PREGNANCY AND BIRTH IS VALID. We recognize many people do not have an option aside the hospital so it is an injustice to act as though everyone has such a privelage- when ANYONE could end up needing medical emegency assistance and we ALL need to be able to rely on hospital's without fear. It is time we RAISE standards and demand all in the birthing world rise to the occasion. Let's Rebuild the broken bridge and evolve the standards between home and hospital so that EVERYONE feels safe/empowered no matter where/how they birth. @thepositivepregnancyjourney @thebirdspapaya
